How did you find pilates? 

I took my first Intro to Pilates class with a friend not knowing what to expect, but after the first session I was hooked!

Why do you love Pilates?

Pilates is the perfect compliment to my current strength and cardio workouts, and a terrific challenge for my mind and body to work together in harmony. I love that I can customize sessions to make a series more challenging or modify a movement to deliver on what the body needs at any given moment.

How did you become an instructor?

 I practiced Pilates for about a year before I decided to take the plunge into teaching. I loved how practicing Pilates made me stronger and more flexible. It was a no brainer for me to enroll in the BASI Pilates program to broaden my understanding of Pilates from student to teacher. 

What makes your class/style special? 

Movement and fitness is not just my career, it's my passion. I absolutely love how Pilates and fitness makes me feel and want to share that with others. When you come to one of my classes I want you to be challenged and feel stronger walking out the door. 

How long have you been doing pilates & teaching? 

 I started teaching at the end of 2013. 

Would you consider your approach more fitness or technical?

I take more of a fitness approach to my group classes, but I stay true to the BASI Pilates methodology because I believe so strongly into the approach. I want my clients to strike a balance between form, function and performance.
